ALERT YOUR WEBCOMIC AUTHOR TO FIX THIS ERROR: TODAYS_COMIC REPEATED

(September 2001)

This marks the first month that Malloney is a part of Keenspot. The move was made for several reasons; mostly because we were running out of memory for the comic, but also keenspot is a comic community and it seemed appropriate. The look of the site isn't 100% and may be changing as time goes on but, I think that the navigation should be easier and quicker on Keenspot and the updates should happen more on time. This month's comic depicts a man pushed to his ends. Malloney hasn't been himself since he was fired and he'll do anything he can to get back on the force. Whether he accomplishes this or not will be answered VERY soon.

Otakon was a great deal of fun and though there were some slow parts, the highs definitely out weighed the lows. Some of the highlights were seeing the new Digi-Charat ad, watching GTO, Super Milk Chan and witnessing two amazing live action movies; Attack the Gas Station and Battle Royale. It never ceases to surprise me how cutting edge some of the entertainment is that comes out of Japan, Korea and Hong Kong. This is not to say that America doesn't have it's share of weird and cutting edge entertainment, but if I had to choose between the two I think that I would have to ditch the Americans in the entertainment realm. Another great thing about Otakon was the panel discussion with the CEO of Madhouse. Man that is one funny guy. Now I know why that studio makes so much good animation. He had a very cool policy about making friends with all those who's manga he adapts into anime and I have to say I witnessed his frienliness first hand. I jokingly asked if I could have the Digi-Charat movie poster and he happily gave it to me. With the shake of the hand it was mine and I only wish I had gotten it signed when I had the chance.

Other then that August was just the end of my Velcroing and preperation for another year of school and a new apartment. Now I look forward to another month and hope that there is something good on the Fall TV lineup (there's always The Tick).

Till next month,
Black Bean Chips and Nipple Clips,
